So the holidays are over for some of us, and it’s back to reality… this can be a pretty depressing realisation, especially when the weather is cold and you just want to be tucked up in bed. OR it’s hot and sunny and your friends are at the beach while you’re stuck in the office… Either way.. cheer up with this adorable video..
So either you’re stuck at work on a skeleton staff or you’re enjoying some time off this week. Either way, there’s never a bad time for a mood booster!
This video has been kicking around for a little while now, but I had to share it. Every time I see it it makes me smile.
Get your dancing shoes on!
So I read an article about ‘Little Penguins’ on Middle Island, and I just have to share!
These penguins are only about 30-40cm in height, (hence the name) and their existence was under threat from foxes, until a clever local farmer Swampy Marsh suggested his Maremma dogs should guard the penguins. This breed of dog is known to be good at protecting chickens, goats and sheep. (who knew!?)
This story made me smile because since the guard dogs were introduced, there hasn’t been a single penguin killed by a fox! I love that another animal has safeguarded the existence of another.
AND it’s been made into a film called Oddball, after the dog.

There is so much doom and gloom in the world.. I currently work at a job where I am subjected to the BBC news all day… this gets somewhat depressing after about an hour. So I regularly look up things to make me smile. Sometimes we all need reminding that not everyone in the world is bad, and that really remarkable, awesome and funny things are happening too.
SO I have created a new section called Mood Boosters. Here I will share anything that will make you smile or laugh until you cry or in some cases, restore your faith in human kind. ( Also, there’s bound to be lots of animal videos…)
I love finding these things online and I love sharing them, considering the current state of the world, we need to spread all the good things we can!
